How do I play puzzl.?

Each day, you get six tries to guess a five-letter word. After each guess, the tiles change color to show how close you are. Green means the letter is in the right spot, yellow means it's in the word but wrong position, and gray means it's not in the word.

When does the daily puzzle reset?

A new puzzle is available every day at midnight in your local timezone. Your progress and result for each day is saved automatically.

How does scoring work?

Your score is based on how many tries it takes you to solve the puzzle. Fewer guesses means a higher score. Your scores are tracked over time to show your improvement.

How do streaks work?

Your streak counts consecutive days that you've solved the daily puzzle. If you miss a day, your streak resets to zero. Build your streak by playing every day!

How do I add friends?

In the app, go to the leaderboard and tap the Friends tab. You can share your invite code with friends or enter their code to connect. Once connected, you'll see each other on the friends leaderboard.

Can I change my username?

Yes! Go to the settings in the app (gear icon) and you can update your username at any time. Your score history and streak will stay the same.

How do I share my results?

After solving a puzzle, tap 'Share result' to generate a spoiler-free result card showing your attempt count without revealing the word. Share it with friends on social media or messaging apps.

How do I turn off notifications?

You can disable puzzle reminder notifications in the app settings or through iOS Settings > Notifications > puzzl.

Is my data private?

Yes. We only collect the minimum data needed to run the game (username, scores, streaks). We don't sell your data or use it for advertising. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

How do I delete my account?

To delete your account and all associated data, please email support@puzzl.app with your username. We'll process your request within 30 days.

Troubleshooting

The app is running slowly

Try closing and reopening the app. If the issue persists, make sure you're running the latest version from the App Store and that your device has enough storage space.

My progress didn't save

puzzl. saves your progress automatically. If you're seeing issues, make sure you have an internet connection. Your progress syncs when you're back online.

I can't see my friends on the leaderboard

Make sure both you and your friend have entered each other's invite codes. Both users need to add each other for the connection to work.

Notifications aren't working

Check that notifications are enabled for puzzl. in your iOS Settings. Also verify that notification permissions are granted in the app settings.
